Holistic Trauma Therapy

Blending psychotherapy and yoga therapy to support your healing—body and mind.

There’s nothing wrong with you.

There’s a reason that you feel the way that you do. Maybe talk therapy has helped you understand your patterns, but you still feel stuck in them. Maybe you've tried yoga or meditation, but can't seem to access that calm everyone talks about. You're not broken. You might just need an approach that integrates mind and body, treating them as the interconnected system they are.

At Nest, I blend psychotherapy and yoga therapy to support your healing as a whole person. In our sessions, we won't just talk about the changes you want to make. We'll practice them together through movement, breath, and somatic practices that help your nervous system actually shift.

You’re in the right place if:

  • You're exhausted from holding it all together and tired of just coping

  • You're disconnected from your body and longing to find your way back

  • You carry shame about what happened to you, or you've told yourself "it wasn't that bad"

  • You feel isolated in your struggle, like you're uniquely broken

  • You want to express your true needs without apologizing for them

  • You're craving a life with room for creativity, joy, and rest alongside the deeper work of healing

Does this resonate?

Healing isn't just about understanding what happened. It's about coming home to your body.

Meet your therapist

Hi, I'm Cassie. I'm a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with over a decade of training and experience in trauma and nervous system healing. I specialize in supporting survivors of relational, sexual, and childhood trauma with chronic stress, burnout, PTSD and C-PTSD.

I see your experiences through the lens of the nervous system, which helps us understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are shaped by your body's efforts to keep you safe and connected.

I understand how powerful these responses can be, both professionally and personally. I'll meet you where you are without judgment.

  • I take an eclectic approach, drawing from somatic approaches based in yoga therapy and polyvagal theory, as well as mindful self-compassion, internal family systems, strength-based and expressive arts approaches.

  • Our first session is an intake where my goal is to get to know you and understand what's happening in your life. I'll ask about your mental, physical, and social wellbeing, and we'll explore what brings you to therapy. You're always welcome to say "no thank you" to any topics you're not ready to discuss. We move at your pace.

  • Not necessarily. Sessions are tailored to your in-the-moment needs. Sometimes we focus more on talk, sometimes more on somatic practices, and often we weave between both. You're always encouraged to request what you need.

  • No prior yoga experience is required. And if you'd prefer to focus on talk therapy only, or yoga therapy only, we can do that too.

If we're working with yoga therapy, it helps to have a mat or carpet, blocks, a bolster or pillows, blankets, and an eye covering. But don't worry if you're missing things. We'll work with what you have.

Healing allows you to build a life that feels like yours.

If you're ready to explore what that might look like, let's talk.
